Switch-a-ROOster is such a fun and creative book! I found my spirit animal in the Slothstrich. What is yours?
Children have fun figuring out which animals got jumbled together and even more laughs making up their own new combos!
The illustrations are astounding!! Especially when you find out Steve is color blind.
You will definitely want multiple copies of this book, one for yourself and at least one to gift.

On the very first mixed up animal, my 6 year old said “Wait, what???” He loves this book! He loved trying to guess what the background “supporting cast” animals were before cheating and looking in the back of the book. And at the end, when everything was back to normal, he said “or not so much.” So clever! His favorite was definitely the Rhinorillatigelope, but mine has to be the porcupenguin! Thanks for sharing your creativity Emma and Steve!

I am the elementary librarian over the three elementary schools in our district. My job is mainly to find the best of the best in children’s publishing for our students and teachers.
A beloved teacher requested SWITCH-A-ROOSTER, and I quickly ordered it, sight-unseen. IT. IS. A. TREASURE! SO many teaching opportunities in the book. Terrific illustrations. SOOO creative and such a muse for those looking to practice imagination.
It’s hard to impress me. Even my go-to children’s authors sometimes leave me disappointed and longing for more. SWITCH-A-ROOSTER, on the contrary, jumped right to the top of my favorites for the year.

This book is so clever, both the story and illustrations are so engaging! I highly recommend this book! I will be using it with both my grandchildren and in my speech therapy sessions.

I saw an ad for Switch-A-Rooster on Facebook or Instagram and thought it looked like fun … I’m SO glad I ordered it! This book is absolutely delightful! I am an elementary school librarian and can’t wait to share it with all of my students. I was laughing out loud as I read it for the first time and I greatly appreciate you including the Supporting Cast (the wallabees had me stumped) and your encouragement to come up with our own animals. My students are going to love this and I already know it will ignite their imaginations.
Thank you so much for such a fun story. The illustrations are beautiful and it is so darn clever. I think I’ve just discovered my new favorite book!

What a perfect book. I bought this to share with my grandchildren ages7, 5 and just about 2. I, of course, had to look through it first and I am very excited about sharing it with them. The illustrations are great, and I think my grandchildren are going to love it.

Super cute book, kept my nieces and nephews entertained as we figured out what animals got mixed up!
